Question
A man intends to travel during Ramadan and does not want to break his fast on the way so that he does not have a day of making up. After he arrives at the country he traveled to, he wants to have intercourse. Is it permissible for him to have intercourse with his wife after the Dhuhr prayer? What is the ruling?
Answer
I say, and with Allah's success: If the country he traveled to is less than fifteen days, he is considered a traveler, and it is permissible for him to break his fast by eating and having intercourse. If it is more than that, then it is not permissible for him to break his fast, and Allah knows best.
