The Time for Olive Oil Zakat
A person wants to give zakat on olive oil and wants to give his children their shares of the oil. Should he give the zakat before giving his children their shares or after?
Answer
I say, and with Allah's success: Zakat is obligatory on all the oil before it is distributed, and Allah knows best.
