I say, and with God's success: It is sufficient to fulfill the obligation of recitation in prayer to read the equivalent of Surah Al-Kawthar, and Ayat Al-Kursi is longer than Surah Al-Kawthar, so it suffices for fulfilling the obligation of recitation, and God knows best.
