The Slaughter of the Drunkard
If a person who has consumed alcohol is either drunk or not drunk and is then slaughtered, is it permissible to slaughter him? Is it a condition to utter the name (Bismillah) for the drunkard?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible if he understands the naming and the sacrifice and knows its conditions; otherwise, it is not permissible, and God knows best.
