I say, and with God's success: The Sunnah in the sitting of the Tashahhud is to sit on the left leg (iftraash) and to have the right leg upright for men, and to sit in a cross-legged position (tawarruk) for women. Anything else is disliked except out of necessity due to illness or other reasons, and God knows best.
