I say, and with God's success: The water of Zamzam springs from the holiest place on earth, which is near the Sacred House of Allah, close to the corner and the station, and the Safa and Marwah, and the great sacred sites, and it is the place where His mercies and lights descend. This shows the honor of this water and its great value, as Allah Almighty chose this suitable place for its goodness and blessings. It was at His magnificent House, a provision from Allah Almighty for His guests among the pilgrims and visitors and the neighbors of His ancient House. Thus, this honored and revered place is exalted, and this blessed and honored water is a blessing. It was said: "The best water on the face of the earth is the water of Zamzam," and it was also said: "The water of Zamzam is for whatever it is drunk for." Al-Bosnawi mentioned in his message about the Station of Ibrahim that it was narrated from Abu Hanifa: "He drank Zamzam for knowledge and jurisprudence, and he became the most knowledgeable of his time." Al-Zamzami mentioned in Nashr al-As about "Qurat al-Ayn" by Sheikh Ghassan the Roman preacher: that Imam Abu Hanifa, may Allah be pleased with him, drank the water of Zamzam to become one of the most knowledgeable scholars, and he indeed was. And what more can be said about his knowledge, righteousness, and virtue? And Allah knows best.
