The Sacrifice for the Family
Is it permissible to sacrifice sheep if my husband is sacrificing or if I want to sacrifice, with the intention for myself, my family, and my parents?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The sacrifice is obligatory for those who possess the minimum threshold for zakat, and for those who do not possess it, it is not obligatory. If you do not own the minimum threshold, you can perform the sacrifice and dedicate the reward to all the children. However, if you do own the minimum threshold, it would be only for you. And God knows best.
