The Ruling on Zakat in Debt Money
If there is borrowed money that reaches the nisab, is Zakat obligatory on the owner of the money?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The zakat on the loaned money is due after it is recovered from the borrower for all the previous years, and God knows best.
