The Ruling on Zakat for Saved Money
A lady has a sum of money in the bank and wants to build a house with it. Does she have to pay Zakat on it?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Zakat on wealth is obligatory if it reaches the nisab, regardless of what will be done with it, whether for building, marriage, or buying a car. And God knows best.
