The Ruling on Zakat for Gold for Those Who Do Not Own Other Wealth
A woman preferred to buy gold for saving instead of cash, but she no longer has money to pay the Zakat on the gold except by selling part of it. What is the ruling in this case?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: She must sell part of the gold and give zakat on it if she does not own any other money, and God knows best.
