What is the ruling on using nail polish that allows water to pass through for the nails? And what is the ruling on using it outside the house?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: Nail polish is considered a barrier that prevents water from reaching the nails, so ablution is not accepted in its presence. As for wearing nail polish outside the house, it is a form of adornment, and it is forbidden for a woman to adorn herself for foreign men. And God knows best.
