The Ruling on Writing the Name of the Deceased on Charity
If someone performs charity on behalf of the deceased and writes on it 'Al-Fatiha for the soul of the late so-and-so', is this considered showing off (riya)?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If his intention is sincere for Allah, without any show-off, it is better to avoid writing out of fear of showing off, and Allah knows best.
