The Ruling on Witnessing Untruthfully
A lady's neighbor got married, but she did not stay in her marital home for long, and this continued for three years. She gave birth to a girl, and the husband's mother asked the lady to testify that her neighbor, the bride, did not marry in the marital home. What should she do?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not permissible to bear witness to what contradicts reality; because it is a false testimony, and God knows best.
