The Ruling on What is Given as a Gift to the Deceased from Prayer
A lady prays two units of Duha prayer every day and dedicates them to her deceased mother and father. Does the reward of this prayer reach the deceased? Or is it only the supplication and mercy that reach them?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: All acts of worship, including prayer, fasting, charity, pilgrimage, Umrah, Quran recitation, and supplication, can have their rewards gifted to the deceased, and the rewards reach them. And God knows best.
