The Ruling on Voluntary Prayer Before or After Fajr and Asr
Is it permissible to perform voluntary prayer before or after Fajr and Asr?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is disliked to perform voluntary prayers at all times during Fajr except for the two Sunnah Rakat of Fajr. It is permissible to perform voluntary prayers before the Asr prayer, but it is disliked after it; due to the prohibition against that, and God knows best.
