The Ruling on Using the Husband's Sperm for Conception After His Death
There was a sample of sperm at the Islamic hospital that was preserved and frozen belonging to my brother who was suffering from cancer, and then he passed away. Is it permissible for his wife to use it to conceive children from her deceased husband?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not permissible; because after his death, she is no longer his wife, and the marriage contract ended with death, and God knows best.
