Question
What is the ruling on using perfumes during the day in Ramadan for the fasting person?
Answer
Fasting is not invalidated; because it is merely a scent that is related to the air without a body, so it does not invalidate the fast: like musk. Unlike incense, oud, amber, and others that have a substance, if it enters his throat without intention, it does not break the fast even if he is aware of his fast; due to not being cautious about it. However, if he intentionally brings it in, it invalidates his fast.
