Question
One woman bequeathed to her daughter that her husband’s daughters should not be allowed to be present during her washing, and she mentioned that she would not forgive her if she did not carry out the will. She heard a Sheikh say that if she carries out her will, her mother will suffer because of it. Is this statement correct? And must the will of the deceased be executed?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The will of the deceased must not be executed except in matters related to estate property, and other than that is not obligatory to execute, and God knows best.
