The Ruling on the Wife of the Deceased
In one of the fatwas, you said: the answer is that the wife of the deceased can accept because she is in the waiting period, while in another fatwa you said: the marriage ends with death. Why did you consider in the first that the wife is in the waiting period and in the second you did not consider it?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: In the case of a woman, the effects of marriage remain because she is in the waiting period, while in the case of a man, the effects of marriage do not remain because he is not in the waiting period. And God knows best.
