The Ruling on the Right to Dispose of the Dowry Given to the Fiancée

Question
A girl has been engaged, and she does not want to buy gold due to its high price; she wants to buy it when the price is lower, but the groom's mother objected to that. Does she have the right to object?
Answer

I say, and with God's success: Marriage is greater than gold and money, and it is preferable for her to express her opinion and not show opposition and stubbornness from the beginning of her life. However, if the specified dowry is cash, she has the right to dispose of it as she wishes, whether by buying gold or otherwise, and she can let others intervene to resolve the issue, so that her relationship with her husband's family remains good. And God knows best.
