The Ruling on the Latecomer's Prayer in Friday Prayer
A person who joins the imam in the Friday prayer during the second rak'ah, should he complete his prayer as a Friday prayer, or should he pray four rak'ahs?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If the imam catches the Friday prayer even in the last tashahhud, he completes it as a Friday prayer, not as a noon prayer, so it will be two rak'ahs, not four, and God knows best.
