The Ruling on the Cohabitation of a Couple
Is it permissible for a separated couple to stay in the same house to care for their disabled daughter, who is 30 years old, such that each of them commits to a room, and they come together to care for the daughter while adhering to decorum?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is forbidden for them to live and be alone together; because they are strangers to each other, and the mentioned excuse is not valid, and God knows best.
