The Ruling on Taking Money from a Stingy Father Without His Knowledge
A young man graduated from school and did not find a job afterward, so he faced difficulties. He took money from his stingy father without informing him to meet his needs, and then he documented the amount he took from his father in a written note to return the amount later when his situation improves. If the young man bought food for his family and siblings with this money, is the food considered haram?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: It is not permissible for him to act on it from the beginning, and he must return the money to his father, and he has no excuse for taking this money except with the father's permission, and it is not permissible for him to use it for food or anything else. God knows best.
