What is the ruling on someone who prayed one rak'ah of a prayer, then started another by intending and renewing the takbir by raising the hands?
Answer
If he started another prayer, he should complete this other one, and the rak'ah he prayed is not counted. If he started the first prayer, the rak'ah he prayed is counted, so he should complete the first one.
