The Ruling on Separating the Units of Witr Prayer
The questioner says that she finds it difficult to delay the Witr prayer until after the night prayer. Is it permissible for her to pray it according to other schools of thought, praying two units of Shaf' after the evening prayer and delaying one unit until after the night prayer?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: There is no need to follow other schools of thought; because delaying the Witr prayer after the last night prayer is recommended, she can pray three Rak'ahs after the Isha prayer, then get up at any time during the night and pray without Witr, and God knows best.
