Question
Is it true that seeking intercession from the righteous and asking for help from graves is an act of Sufis, or is it an act of those who are inwardly Sufi?
Answer
I say, and with God's guidance: Seeking intercession is drawing closer to God Almighty through what He loves to fulfill needs and achieve desires, with the belief that benefit and harm are in the hands of God alone, such as invoking God Almighty by His names and attributes, good deeds, and through the prophets and the righteous. This is something that scholars from both the early and later generations have agreed upon as permissible, and God knows best.
