A man has 500 dinars that he saved for a time of need, is he obligated to perform the sacrifice?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The sacrifice is obligatory for those who own an amount of (100) grams of gold, which is the threshold for being exempt from zakat, and five hundred dinars is too little, so the sacrifice is not obligatory for him, and God knows best.
