Question
If a person swears that he will not do a certain thing because he believes it is forbidden, then discovers that it is permissible and wants to do it, what is the ruling regarding the oath he took?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If he based his oath on the fact that he is a pilgrim, and then it became clear that he is not a pilgrim, then there is no expiation upon him if he acted, and God knows best.
