The Ruling on Replacing Wudu with Tayammum When Time is Short
You said that wiping the hands in tayammum is done by wiping the hands up to the elbows, but the correct method is to the wrists. Is there a difference in the method of tayammum among the imams?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: There is a disagreement on the issue; according to the Hanbalis, it is to the wrist, while according to the other schools of thought, it is to the elbows. They have hadiths that support this, and God knows best.
