Question
A shop owner for rent wanted one of the commercial banks to rent from him to establish a branch in the area. Does this put him in a suspicion of unlawful money, or is it permissible for him to rent to the bank? If it is permissible, what is the evidence? Or does the legal principle apply that the act is that of a chosen doer between him and the owner of the mistake?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: According to Abu Hanifa, it is permissible for him to rent it out due to the principle of a chosen act intervening between it and the sin, while according to others, it is disliked. And God knows best.
