The Ruling on Reading Behind the Imam in Silent Prayer
If the Imam bows in silent prayer before the follower completes Al-Fatiha, should I bow with the Imam or complete Al-Fatiha?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: The follower is not required to read the Quran, rather it is disliked for him to read, and the reading of the imam is sufficient for him, and God knows best.
