The Ruling on Publicizing Charitable Donations
A person donated an amount of one hundred thousand riyals and published a video informing people of what he did, asking them to share the video. Is this permissible?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: If it is for the purpose of spreading good and virtue so that people may follow it, then it is permissible. But if it is for the sake of showing off, then it is not permissible. And God knows best.
