The Ruling on Praying While Sitting When There is No Place to Prostrate
Is a man's prayer valid if he prays sitting down when there is no place to prostrate, such as praying on stairs for example?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: In severe crowding, it is permissible to prostrate on the back of the person in front of you and on the stairs, and God knows best.
