The Ruling on Praying for the Deceased Who Committed Suicide
Is it permissible to pray for the deceased who committed suicide?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Suicide is a sin and not disbelief; he is a Muslim. It is permissible to pray for him, to have mercy on him, and to seek forgiveness for him. And God knows best.
