The Ruling on Praying for Mercy for a Deceased Non-Muslim
Is it permissible to pray for mercy for a deceased non-Muslim by saying: May Allah have mercy on him?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not permissible to pray for mercy and forgiveness for non-Muslims; because they are a place of wrath, not of blessing, and God knows best.
