The Ruling on Praying for a Specific Gender of the Fetus
I was pregnant and wished for a boy, but I was blessed with a girl. I got upset and wished that the girl was a boy. Am I sinful? I am a believer in God and that everything is from God and by God's will, and I prayed to God for the girl to become a boy. Am I sinful?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: You must be content with what God has decreed, even if it is contrary to your desire, and we must be raised to submit to His decree and to abandon anger and objection. Therefore, you should fear sin because of that, and God knows best.
