The Ruling on Paying Zakat to the Husband's Parents and to the Ancestors
Is it permissible to give the wife's wealth zakat to the husband's poor parents, and to give the husband's wealth zakat to the wife's parents as well?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is permissible to give zakat to those other than parents, children, husband, and wife, for these are different from what we mentioned, so it is permissible to give to them. And God knows best.
