The Ruling on Paying Zakat to One's Sister
Is it permissible for a brother to pay his zakat to his sister, who is a university student and whose father refuses to pay her tuition fees?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is recommended for him to give her the zakat, and he will have the reward of zakat and the reward of maintaining ties, and God knows best.
