The Ruling on Paying Zakat to Descendants
Is it permissible for a mother to give zakat to her orphaned children if they have wealth, and if so, how is the zakat on that wealth calculated?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: It is not permissible to give zakat to sons and daughters, as well as the children of sons and the children of daughters. And God knows best.
