The Ruling on Paying Livestock Zakat in Cash and to More than One Poor Person
Is it permissible to pay livestock zakat in cash, or must it be in the same type of livestock? If it is permissible to distribute it in cash, can it be given to more than one poor person?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: It is permissible to give it from any type of wealth, whether it is money or otherwise, and it is permissible to give it to one or more poor people, and God knows best.
