The Ruling on Participating in a Vow

Question
I and my siblings made a vow to share in the cost of a sacrifice if our father recovered from his illness and the doctors did not amputate his leg. Our father recovered, but my siblings refused to contribute with me towards the cost of the sacrifice, and I was unable to buy it on my own. Then our father passed away. Does the vow fall upon me and them, or does it remain, knowing that they still refuse to pay and I cannot buy it alone?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: The vow remains obligatory upon you all and is a debt upon you. It is not required for you to slaughter a sheep; rather, it is permissible to pay the value of a sheep. You can also absolve yourself of the vow by donating your share of the sheep in cash, such as a quarter or a third, for example. And God knows best.
