Question
If the father or mother have not completed the nisab for zakat, and the son possesses wealth, and they wish to share together in offering a sacrifice, what is the hindrance if it is not obligatory for any one of them due to the nisab not being completed, which is 3000 dinars or the value of 100 grams of gold?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: They are considered poor, so they are only obligated to buy (the sacrifice). They can buy for one of them; so that the sacrifice is on his behalf, and in another year for the other; because a sheep is only valid for one person, and God knows best.
