The Ruling on Not Washing the Deceased
My mother passed away due to the coronavirus in Russia, and we paid the money and brought the cloth for them to wash and shroud her, but they gave her to us in a wooden coffin. What is the ruling on that?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Burial in a coffin is recommended for women in the beginning, and due to this disease and its spread and the danger of touching the patient, many rulings regarding washing the deceased and burying them are exceeded; because necessities have rulings, and God knows best.
