A young man proposed to a girl who has good morals, religion, and knowledge, but he trades in tobacco. Should they marry him? What is the ruling on trading in tobacco?
Answer
I say, and with Allah's success: It is disliked with a prohibition of sin to trade in tobacco, and the earnings are considered unlawful and impure, and one must rid themselves of it. If he does not agree to leave this work, then what he provides for her will be unlawful. And Allah knows best.
