I say, and with God's guidance: The inclination of the heart is something beyond our control, and Allah does not hold us accountable for it. However, any relationship between them, such as talking or meeting, is forbidden. If the young man is sincere in what he says, he should hasten to propose to the girl so that their relationship can be a legitimate one. The girl, if she is sincere, should facilitate this and not demand from him what he cannot bear. This love is a very significant gateway to corruption, and the sincere ones in it are very few. As they say, such love is not beneficial after marriage; because true love only develops after marriage and knowing each other's qualities, patience, endurance, preference for the other, and serving one another. Then, the truth of each person, their essence, and their faith will be revealed. We do not want to cling to illusions due to TV series and songs, so one should be cautious about this.
