Question
A person listens to religious lessons from someone whose speech and understanding of religious matters are criticized, yet he is convinced by listening to him because he brings evidence from the Holy Quran, and he is confused by what others say. What is the ruling on listening to him?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: If a person adheres to the methodology of the Ahl al-Sunnah and studies one of the four jurisprudential schools, he is to be listened to; otherwise, he is not, and God knows best.
