The Ruling on Irregular Menstruation
She says she has an IUD and cannot determine her menstruation days because the bleeding occurs intermittently. What should she do regarding prayer?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: She should consult a doctor to distinguish between menstruation and irregular bleeding. If that is not possible, she should consider her old customary days as menstruation, and anything beyond that as irregular bleeding if it exceeds ten days. And God knows best.
