The Ruling on Interlacing the Fingers in Ablution
Does the Hadith of the Prophet ﷺ: 'Interlace your fingers before the fire interlaces them' indicate that interlacing is obligatory, and that ablution is invalidated by not interlacing?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Interlacing the fingers is a Sunnah according to this hadith, and it is not obligatory. The ablution is valid without interlacing; because water reaches between the fingers even if they are not interlaced, and God knows best.
