The Ruling on Intention When Giving Zakat
A lady sends food from her grape harvest as zakat for the crops to her poor neighbor. Is intention required for that?
Answer
I say, and with God's success: Intention is not required in the zakat of crops; it is the right of the land, unlike the zakat of wealth where intention is necessary. And God knows best.
