The Ruling on Intention in Ablution and Ghusl
If someone enters a swimming pool without intention, does it suffice for them for ablution and ghusl?
Answer
I say, and with God's help: Intention is a Sunnah and not an obligation. If water reaches the parts of ablution or washing, it suffices and is valid, but the reward for intention is lost. And God knows best.
